Seoul National University (SNU), having been declared the first National University after World War II, is the leading comprehensive University in Korea with more than 100 years of history. SNU is the mostly highly ranked university in South Korea and one of the leading Asian universities. In particular, it is strong in spintronics with activities in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, as well as in the Materials Science Department.
